All decked out in my pumps and circus pants, I waltzed into the cancer center to receive my last boob blast this morning and look what my 'rad' pals gave me in addition to my final radiation treatment:

I graduated! I can't go on enough regarding how professional and friendly the entire staff was during my therapy. Below are just two of the lovely ladies who helped me through this ordeal.

In return, I treated them to some
Better-Than-Crack Brownies and amidst the hugs goodbye, I realized that I am doctor free for ONE WHOLE MONTH!

The light at the end of the tunnel is in full view, friends. I think I'm going to make it! And just as I was about to press the "publish this post" button, look at what hubby brought me when he came home for lunch. *swoon*

Congratulations... That is great news!!
HUGE Congrats!!!! And you are such a sweetie to make them those delicious treats :)
Congrats! I've been reading your blog every now and then for a few months. Today, I found out my mother-in-law has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Reading this post was extremely well-timed and is a great source of hope. Hearing your news has made me much more optomistic! :-) Enjoy your month off!
I'm back for another recipe & thought I would share my diet tip with you..
The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says "for extra volume and body".......... I'm going to start using dishwashing liquid. It says "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove"..... Hmm..
Thinking of you & sending good wishes your way.
thisoldbroad....LMAO! I just love your comments!
Congratulations, Mags!!! That's wonderful news! I don't know how I missed this until now. Enjoy your break and!
Wow!
I'm about 7 years (or maybe it's 8 by now)post rads, but I still remember my excitement at leaving the clinic that last time!!
I didn't get a certificate as you did. My nurses gave me a lovely little "gold" angel pin...which I still have pinned to the collar of my fluffy white bathrobe I wrap myself in when getting out of the shower.
I surely hope you framed and hung your certificate in an appropriate place, and also possibly dried those lovely flowers!
I just found your site (looking for a steelcut oatmeal muffin recipe) and it looks like I've got some delightful reading ahead of me.
But I did need to send the congratulatory hugs first. :)
