When we did manage to get the entire group together, of course the cameras clicked away as we posed like a class graduating from Clown College. I don't think we ever managed to get a photo where everyone was behaving. That's our family. We love to laugh. When we get together we usually laugh so hard we cry. And then there are the times when we cry so hard we laugh. Steve, as you look down at us from Heaven, know that we cried and laughed A LOT this night, and in your honor, we finally managed to get a serious picture of the brothers and sisters you left behind.
This will be my last post regarding cancer in any way, shape or form. I'm so very tired of being sad and depressed and hubby tells me that if I'm not dead or happy in five years, he's going to divorce me. I'm on a mission to be both alive and happy. Next week, I hope to be cooking up something special, because it's been way too long, hasn't it my friends?

What a sweet and loving tribute!...bless you, my friend...signed, broken down UPS dude : )
This post made me cry, then laugh! All is good, and I'm looking forward to a new recipe! :)
Love you sweet Mags. I'd like to think your brother is up there writing the next funny line and scheming about how he's gonna' get his message across. I'd watch out for the bird poop if I were you!
You are so blessed to have such a big, loving family. :)
Can't wait for the new recipe!!
Very nice and sweet post. I'm glad you are well and looking forward to your recipes!
I agree.....Be alive and happy.
Cancer sucks horribly. Get happy. Love life. There is much to be thankful for still in your life. I 7 siblings and 2 have had cancer. My wife is gone from cancer too. Get happy and stay that way. God Bless you
Honestly, my friend, it's hard not to turn around and bump into the word these days. The thing to remember to do is to turn back in the other direction and look life full in the face. For ever sad thing, there are at least 8 really happy things. Big hugs.
PS: Darn it, yes. Get cooking again.
Love it you silly goose!
Take care of yourself, live large, laugh often.
We'll all find the "new normal" soon and we will like it by cracky!
Mags...I've missed your blogs. Looking forward to reading them again and seeing what you've cooked up.
Cancer sucks but for sure we can't let it get the best of us! Live life to it's fullest.
Hugs!
You're an extraordinary woman with a great big extraordinary family. It may not feel like it lately, but you're a very lucky group. No more cancer!!!!!
We need a new chocolate recipe!
Chocolate makes the world go round.
Chocolate comforts the soul.
Chocolate always makes us smile.
Chocolate makes us more beautiful.
Chocolate is a great weight loss secret.
Chocolate warms the heart.
Yep, we need chocolate.
Mmmmmm, choooocolate.
Are these subliminal messages getting through???
I can only imagine how much fun those family get togethers are. Here's to happiness, health, and lots of laughs in the years to come!!!
Yes it has! But we must take time to grieve. When my father died I cried everyday for two years, and my dear sweet husband just let me. I was afraid he would divorce me, but to my surprise he stood by me. In my family there are 7 of us siblings, and it is very rare all of us are ever together. I could totally identify with your family, laughing and crying and cutting up. Glad you are back!
Wow, what a big family! You all look so happy. Happy...isn't that your goal? You are succeeding.
Beautiful demonstration of family love.
We will know you are feeling fine, when you have your first rant.
Hello,
I have a question about your blog. Please email me!
Thanks,
David
Loved the rabbit ears being made by the brothers! My husband has 4 brother and one sister and these grown men are always doing that in family photos. Must be a universal thing. I, on the other hand have 4 sisters and one brother and my sisters and I never do rabbit ears to each other!
I know you will miss your brother terribly and honor him in the best way you know how.. with laughter!
Hsppy to have you ranting away again. It can only mean you are getting stronger and beating this monster cancer.
Looking forward to new recipes!
